Pea Ridge Fire Station 02

This community beacon is articulated to create comfort for those within and around by being a place about and for safety. The expansive and open space of this new Fire Station is optimized for exit speed while being layered for the work and daily living of the 24/7 rotation. A repetition of brick fins create exterior courts and space for fire trucks to emerge from while providing order and stability for the floating living quarters above. Steel boxes are extruded as the traditional bay window evolves into a facade articulation that also accommodates fireman training exercises. This prototype station provides security for all and displays strategic thought for future growth of Pea Ridge.
